Main characters
Ryan Reynolds (Detective Pikachu): The actor Ryan Reynolds is probably best known for his role as Deadpool in the movies Deadpool and Deadpool 2, both of which broke various records, mostly ones such as highest grossing r rated film. In this film he is the voice actor for Detective Pikachu who can be understood by Tim Goodman, he is also the character that the film is named after.
Justice Smith (Tim Goodman): Before Justice Smith starred in Detective Pikachu he had important roles in movies such as Justin in Every Day who was the boyfriend of the lead character or Frankiln Webb in Jurassic world 2 who was an IT technician in the Dinosaur Protection Group. In Detective Pikachu Justice Smith plays Tim Goodman who is looking for his missing father with the help of Detective Pikachu.
Kathryn Newton (Lucy Stevens): Kathryn Newton is probably best known for their role in the tv series Gary Unmarried as the protagonist's daughter, she was nominated for three awards for this role and won one of them. She also one an award for her lead role in Paranormal Activity 2. In this movie Kathryn Newton plays the character Lucy Stevens who is a young reporter with a partner Psyduck, she is recruited by Tim and Pikachu to help find out what happened to Tim's father.
VFX companies:
Framestore: worked on some of the fight scenes in the film and some of the characters and backgrounds they have also worked on well known movies and tv shows like Avengers and Game of Thrones
Image engine: worked on bringing lots of the Pokemon to life including Pikachu himself, they have also worked on movies like Logan and Jurassic world
MPC Film: worked on the look of some of the other Pokemon in the film and have also worked on films like Godzilla and Lion King
Rob Letterman (Director): Rob Letterman directed Detective Pikachu and managed to get the highest rated video game movie on rotten tomatoes, he has also directed Gulliver's travels and Monster vs Aliens.
Dan Hernandez & Benji Samit (writers) Dab Hernandez and Benji Samit are writing partners and have worked on lots if productions together such as his film or the tv show One Day at a Time.
Nicole Perlman (writer): Nicole Perlman is a writer who has worked on many different successful movies before Detective Pikachu such as Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain Marvel.
